Citing the reports of Regional Office 3 Director Roseller, Tolentino, DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan identified the newly-improved roads as the 758.65-linear meter section of Gov. JJ Linao Road and the 319-linear meter portion of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant Road.
The asphalt overlay works on both road sections located in Barangay Nagbalayong, Morong was implemented by DPWH Bataan First District Engineering Office (DEO).
Apart from enhancing mobility, the upgraded roads also allow easier and safer access to Morong’s scenic sports destinations namely the Ambon-Ambon Falls, Kairukan Falls, Limutan Falls, Mount Natib, and the Bataan National Park.
According to District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr., improving road conditions within the municipality remains one of DPWH Bataan First DEO’s top priority as it opens for increased economic opportunity to locals with community-based livelihood from growth of tourism activities.
