Hyundai expands the Ioniq 5 range with the addition of the Namsan Edition variant.“Ioniq 5 has set the benchmark for both design and real-world electric vehicle usability and these range enhancements for model year 23 will ensure that this remains the case for some time to come,” said Hyundai Motor UK Managing Director Ashley Andrew.
According to the South Korean carmaker, the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 for the European region will now be offered with a new 77.4kWh battery which increases the vehicle’s range and power to 315 miles (507 kilometers) and 320 horses, respectively.
Accompanying the larger battery capacity is a new battery heater and conditioning feature. This function activates automatically when a high-power charging point is entered into the vehicle’s navigation system using connected routing.”

Furthermore, Hyundai expands the Ioniq 5 range with the addition of the new Namsan Edition variant which features a full-length vision roof, leather upholstery, and relaxation seats. The range-topping trim also comes with the Digital Side Mirrors (DSM), a feature that reduces air resistance and provides owners with an enhanced view of the rear, even in inclement weather.
The Namsan Edition is priced from £52,900 and joins existing Ioniq 5 variants such as SE Connect (priced from £39,400), Premium (priced from £41,900), and Ultimate (priced from £48,400).
