Ford has just announced that the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT will also be made available for Europe, setting the market abuzz with its 458hp, 830Nm of torque, and 3.7sec acceleration. “Nothing in its class accelerates faster,” goes the Blue Oval’s proud boast about its new offering.
The base Mach-E GT will have an 88kWh battery pack with a WLTP-certified range of 500kms on a single charge, while an extended range model boosts that up to 540kms. The all-wheel drive, battery-electric powertrain consists of a dual-motor that sends power to all four wheels, reaching a top speed of 200kmph.
The vehicle is also supported by an industry-leading ecosystem that delivers “seamless, integrated access to charging across Europe.” This gives owners the peace of mind that their battery won’t run out of juice mid-travel.
Immediate Mustang Mach-E buyers in Europe will receive five years free access to FordPass Charging Network and one year free access to IONITY network. This limited offer will be made available to customers placing an order on the all-electric SUV this year and into 2021.
Also making its European debut is the equally all-electric but insanely more powerful Mustang Mach-E 1400 – a one-of-a-kind prototype with 1400hp and an estimated 260kmph top speed.
“One is a production model, the other an extreme prototype, but our Mustang Mach-E GT and Mustang Mach-E 1400 have something in common, which is immediate, adaptable power delivery, creating a driving experience that has to be experienced to be believed,” said Stuart Rowley, president at Ford of Europe.
Ford Mustang Mach-E GT will be made available in Europe at the tail end of next year. Pricing will be announced closer to the release date.
