EVAP elated over DAGEV’s push for NEV products
The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) expressed delight over Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation’s (DAGEV) move in promoting new energy vehicle usage and sustainable mobility in the country.

This year's Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit is set for October 19-21 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.The group issued the statement following the company’s announcement of taking the distributorship of Dongfeng electrified commercial vehicles locally.
"We, at EVAP, are thrilled to witness the strides that Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation is making in the electric vehicle sector. The introduction of their latest EV models will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the advancement of sustainable transportation in our country," EVAP Chairman Emeritus Ferdinand Raquelsantos said.
For his part, EVAP Chairman Rommel Juan noted the importance of collaboration between the private sector and associations like EVAP in driving EV adoption. “Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation’s initiative aligns with our goal to bring together industry players, government agencies, and consumers to foster an EV ecosystem that is accessible, reliable, and environmentally responsible,” he stated.
Lastly, EVAP President Edmund Araga reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting innovative ventures like Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation.
"EVAP remains steadfast in our efforts to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote a cleaner environment. We firmly believe that partnerships with forward-thinking companies like Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation will accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation," Araga said.
Further, the group is excited upon learning that the firm has plans to launch even more new models at the upcoming Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit slated October 19-21 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Moreover, EVAP said that the collaboration with Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation “signifies a powerful alliance towards building a greener future for the Philippines.”

During the launch, DAGEV Corporation President Monek Calimbahin said that since all the offerings are fully electric models, customers of their vehicles would enjoy the benefits stated under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA) such lowered vehicle registration cost, and exemption from number coding scheme.
