German car brand BMW has revealed the 2019 version of its X7 SUV, and 'huge' is the first thought that comes to mind. The new X7 gets three rows of seats, effectively becoming the first BMW to have such a seating configuration. As if to signal the massive capacity, the signature kidney grille is also the largest in any BMW yet.
The new 2019 BMW X7 SUV is generously proportioned, with overall body dimensions at 5,151 mm long, 2,000 wide, and 1,805mm tall. One look, and it appears every single occupant will enjoy ultimate comfort inside the X7, starting with the plush leather and wood trim combination and proceeding with the suede roof, four-zone climate control, Harman Kardon sound system, and twin 12.3-inch screens for instruments and infotainment.
The 2019 BMW X7 offers three engine options, each paired with an eight-speed transmission and xDrive intelligent AWD: a 3.0-liter inline-6 gas (335 hp), a larger displacement 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 gas (456 hp), and two 3.0 inline-6 diesel engines (a 256 hp base and a more powerful 400 hp version). A plug-in hybrid version will be introduced at a later stage.
The X7 will hit US showrooms by March next year, with the rest of the world to soon follow. It is expected to compete against the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and the Range Rover in the high-end luxury SUV category.
