With a classy cabin and creature comforts, Hyundai's Palisade luxury SUV is a sterling contender in its class.
For starters, the Palisade offers sleek styling. It has slim daytime running lights, vertical headlights, and a large chrome grille. With L-shaped taillights, the rear possesses design cues that are as striking as the front.
Let's learn more about the SUV in its sole variant, the Palisade 2.2 CRDi GLS 8A/T 4WD, which goes for P3.240 million.
The Palisade is moved by a 198hp, 2.2-liter CRDi e-VGT engine, which is paired to an eight-speed computerized transmission controlled by paddle shifters.
Using Hyundai's trademark electronic HTRAC all-wheel drive and multi-terrain control system, the Palisade allows to choose the right mode for the terrain, whether that's sand, mud, or snow.
Meanwhile, four selectable driving modes, Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Smart, can fine-tune the SUV in all driving conditions.
Material choices in the Palisade are suede and leather, with a barrage of buttons at the center console. Those buttons are linked to a 10.25-inch audio display that comes with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
For the rest of the cabin, creature comforts include a three-zone automatic temperature control, heated/ventilated power seats, voice recognition, and wireless charging.
If the passengers will have to go to the third row, the second-row seats can be slid forward. Both second and third rows are 60:40 split-type flat-folding, and can be lowered or raised with the use of switches in the cargo area.
Safety equipment
A comprehensive list of standard safety features are onboard the Palisade.
That includes a nine-airbag system, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, automatic emergency braking, remote keyless entry, adaptive high-beam headlights, blind spot monitoring, lane following assist, and front and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist.
