Ferrari presents one-off 812 GTS-inspired SP51

Ferrari recently unveiled the latest addition to its one-off series — the 812 GTS-inspired SP51. The roadster, said the Prancing Horse marque, was designed by Ferrari Styling Center headed by Flavio Manzoni.

At the fore are specially-designed headlights that sit above the car’s gaping grille. The hood, bordered by the said headlamps, were designed to dynamically frame the two air vents at the front.

On its side are unique wheels that feature carbon-fiber wing profiles on each of the spokes which also feature a sophisticated tone-on-tone diamond-cut finish on the forward-facing section.

The rear of the car is dominated by an arched theme with the taillights inset below the spoiler. Also found are two flying buttresses and a transverse, carbon-fiber wing.

Ferrari also finished the one-off SP51 with a new Rosso Passionale three-layer paintwork.

Its cockpit is also painted with the same Rosso Passionale hue. The color is complemented by blue Kvadrat inserts found on the roadster’s door panels, the lower section of the dashboard, and the sides of the seats.

In addition, Ferrari added glossy carbon-fiber trims, Nero Momo Opaco elements, and several white embroidered details to spruce up the interior of the one-off SP51.

The Ferrari One-Off, SP51, was designed for a longstanding Taiwan-based client who is also one of the brand’s leading collectors. It is a successful roadster take on Maranello’s first front-engined V12 spider in 50 years. Its bold styling captivates at first sight. However, it brilliantly retains the signature elegance of its inspiration, the 812 GTS, while pushing the boundaries by offering a whole new way of enjoying en plein air driving.
