Per Ferrari, it was the #51 race car that set the fastest time on day one of the FIA WEC Prologue.The momentous occasion will mark the return of the Prancing Horse to the top-class endurance championship after fifty years at the opening event of the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Per the Maranello-based brand, two race cars will be fielded in the endurance race. The #50 car will be shared by drivers Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen.
Meanwhile, car #51 will be driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi.
The two cars already finished their time at the FIA WEC Prologue — a two-day practice session prior to the race this Friday.
Both cars are said to have run a total of 313 laps, gathering valuable data ahead of the race. The #51 car even set the fastest time on the track during day one of the “Prologue” while the #50 car encountered some issues on day two forcing it to retire.
