A Ford F-150 Raptor R was transformed by Hennessey, an American tuning company, into a formidable 6×6 super truck.
Dubbed the VelociRaptoR 6x6, the tank-like truck features an extended boxed frame and an eight-foot (ft) long load bed (stock cargo bed measures 5.5ft) to accommodate the two additional wheels at the rear.
In addition, Hennessey fitted a three-inch lift kit into the VelociRaptoR 6x6 to make way for the brand’s custom 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires.
Suspension-wise, the monster truck-like VelociRaptoR 6x6 gets live valve Fox dampers. For stopping power, it relies on a set of Brembo performance brakes.
The Texas-based tuner also said it added a second, fully functional, locking rear axle to the six-wheeled pickup truck, which improves tractive grip by more than 50 percent.
Complementing the mechanical upgrades are new front and rear bumpers, LED lights, and Hennessey VelociRaptoR badging.
“The supercharged V8 in the Raptor R perfectly complements our limited edition ‘VelociRaptoR 6×6’ package. The upgrade boosts traction and improves utility, which makes the 6×6 practical and functional. It’s a real blast to drive – I consider it a go-anywhere super truck with head-turning stage presence!” commented Hennessey Founder and Chief Executive Officer John Hennessey.
Propulsion comes from the retained supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine that makes 709 horses and 867 Newton meters of pulling power.
The new VelociRaptoR 6×6 is priced at US$499,999 (approximately P27.895 million).
