Ford Vietnam just launched the new-generation Territory, leaving many Filipino fans wondering if we will get it in the near future as well.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the new-generation Ford Territory?

The Vietnam-spec new-generation Ford Territory is powered by a 1.5-liter engine.
  • How many variants does the new-generation Ford Territory have in Vietnam?

In Vietnam, the latest version of the Ford Territory has three variants: Titanium X, Titanium, and Trend.
  • And while we’re no stranger to the nameplate, the latest iteration in Vietnam offers a few things local sport utility vehicle (SUV) enthusiasts might want. A more aggressive look perhaps?

The new-generation Ford Territory looks somewhat feistier than the the version currently available locally. At the fore is a new grille with a chrome trim above it that seem to connect the two aggressive LED headlight clusters on each side. The daytime running lights that look like sharp eyebrows also add to the Vietnam-spec Ford Territory’s muscular appeal.

At the rear are two 3D taillights connected by the “TERRITORY” lettering.

It apparently rides on 19-inch alloy rims (PH-spec model has 18-inch wheels).

The cabin of the new-generation Ford Territory also sports a new look. It appears to have cleaner lines and a single, seamless screen that joins both the instrument cluster and the infotainment system.

The panels on the dashboard are made up of two large 12-inch screens. There is also a multi-functional D-shaped steering wheel that goes well with the modern minimalist vibe of the interior.

Power will reportedly come from Ford's iconic EcoBoost 1.5-liter engine, paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It is said to have four driving modes and comes with Ford's Co-Pilot 360 premium driver-support technology package to provide maximum safety for its occupants.

According to a Facebook post by Ford Vietnam, the new-generation Ford Territory will be offered in their country in three trims: Titanium X, Titanium, and Trend.

Prices, per Ford Vietnam, start at 822 million Vietnamese dongs (VND) or around P2.019 million.

We believe that the New Generation Ford Territory will attract young, energetic, connected customers, who want a safe and smart car, that can help them take care of their family, connect friends, and enjoy every moment" the moment of life. Together with the product’s outstanding features, the new customer experiences will help Territory truly meet the needs of Vietnamese customers,” said Ford Vietnam Chief Executive (CEO) Ruchik Shah.

So, will Ford Philippines will bring the new-generation Teritorry locally? Our guess, as of the moment, is as good as yours.
