Ford delivered the first batch of Mustang Mach-E units to China last Sunday, December 26. These electrified SUVs, pretty much like the Ford Territory sold here in the Philippines, are made in China. For the rest of the world, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is made in Ford’s Cuautitlan plant in Mexico.
The locally produced Mustang Mach-Es are being sold via Ford BEV’s growing network of direct-to-customer stores located in major Chinese metropolitan markets. These stores sell these electrified ‘Stangs directly to the customers instead of passing them over to dealerships. As of the moment, there are 25 direct-to-customer stores dedicated to the sale of Ford electric vehicles in China.
“Among the customers to receive the vehicle is ad executive and Mustang fan Jin Zhang, who will use his Mach-E as a family vehicle. He is pictured being handed the keys to his new Mach-E by Mark Kaufman, general manager, Ford China BEV Division,” said Ford in a press release.
