Ford Philippines attributes its strong sales of 9,855 units in the first half of the year to its Ranger pickup and Territory crossover.
Ford Philippines said its sales grew by 84 percent compared to the same period last year.
The Ranger was the top-selling Ford vehicle with sales of 2,588 units, or a 28-percent increase from last year’s sales. The Ranger Raptor continues to drive overall 4x4 sales for the brand.
The Territory also delivered robust sales with 3,323 units, cornering a 56-percent market share in the segment.
The Territory also recently reached its 5,000th customer milestone after selling 5,248 units from August 2020 to June 2021.
“The Ranger and Territory’s strong sales in the first half of the year is a testament to its sustained popularity in the market, and we thank our customers for their continued trust and preference towards our pickups and SUVs,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen expressed.
“As we aim to sustain our strong performance in the second half of the year, we remain committed to creating and bringing products and services attuned to the needs and lifestyles of our customers,” Breen added.
Those lifestyle-oriented products are the recently introduced Ranger FX4 Max, the Ranger Wildtrak with power roller shutter, and the Raptor X (above).
The Raptor X features body side stripes, extended leg sports bar, red front tow hooks, and matte black wheels with BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Only 200 Raptor X units will be made available to customers throughout the year.
