It seems like newly appointed Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen is making a big splash in his new role. Aside from bringing in a limited-run Ranger Raptor X, the company he now helms is offering the new power roller shutter feature on the Wildtrak 4x4.
Aimed at providing greater security and functionality when transporting cargo, the original equipment manufactured product power roller shutter is only available in the aforementioned variant.
Breen said that the segment-first offering is now available at all Ford Philippines dealerships starting today.
“At Ford, we remain committed to designing products and services that are attuned to customers' needs and lifestyles. With the power roller shutter, our customers can enjoy added protection, convenience and safety with a feature bearing the Ford quality DNA,” Breen said.
According to Breen, the power roller shutter can be activated via three different ways: inside the cabin through a switch on the dashboard, via a button in the tray, or by using the key fob. Aside from that, he said that compared to aftermarket roller shutters, the one fitted in the Wildtrak 4x4 has a sleeker and cleaner profile.
Further, the power roller shutter has an anti-pinch feature to prevent injury or damage. This is activated once it makes contact with any object.
The Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 with the power roller shutter is priced at ₱1.728 million.
