Ford Philippines went a notch higher with the Ford Everest, making it the twin of the Ford Ranger Raptor.
For one, the high-end version is now equipped with the 2.0-liter bi-turbo engine mated a 10-speed automatic transmission. The said engine is said to deliver 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the base model has a 2.0-liter single turbo engine that dishes out 177 horsepower and 420 Nm.
Ford's midsize SUV also claims that with the new power train, customers can enjoy lower service maintenance costs with a once-a-year scheduled service interval instead of twice a year.
The new Ford Everest has numerous driver-assist technologies that make it both a city slicker and a true-blue off-roader.
It now has Active Park Assist, 4WD Terrain Management System, Pre-Collision Assist that uses inter-urban Autonomous Emergency Braking System with Pedestrian and Vehicle Detection.
The new Ford Everest retains its other features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping System, Forward Collision Warning Driver Alert, Auto High Beam, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear View Camera, and Parking Sensors.
For its infotainment system, it has the Ford Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility in an eight-inch full-color touchscreen.
Being a vehicle of refinement, the new Everest has Active Noise Cancellation. It has a Panoramic Moonroof for the natural illumination inside to enjoy the ebony-themed interiors.
The price for the new Everest starts at PHP1.995 million for the Turbo Titanium 4×2 AT variant while the Bi-turbo Titanium+ 4×4 AT is at PHP2. 299 million. The two variants come in six colors such as the new hue of diffused silver, as well as Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, Meteor Gray, and Sunset Red.
