The Ford Territory will be marking its first year in the Philippines tomorrow with numerous feathers to its cap already.
Launched August 14 last year, Ford Philippines expressed confidence in the model that according to the company, "brings to life the Ford DNA in its overall design, engineering, and capability" — in line with the brand’s global quality standards.
Below are the milestones that the Ford Territory reached in a span of 12 months.
Ford Philippines shared that the Territory sales reached 3,323 units, which represents 56 percent of market share.
The badge also is the second best-selling vehicle in the local product portfolio for Ford, next to the Ranger. Based on the company records, over 30 percent of the local distributor’s sold units in the first half of 2021 were Territory vehicles. It also sold 5,000 units by June.
Such a following paved the way for the creation of the Ford Territory Club Philippines (FTCP), a car group over Facebook made up of 12,000 members. Further, the Ford Territory received citations from various outfits.
Ford Philippines managing director Michael Breen cited the strong support from customers, dealers, partners, and employees. “We are excited to sustain the momentum for the remainder of the year as we see more Filipinos enjoy driving a Ford Territory and owning every moment of it.”
