Ford Philippines assured customers of the next-generation Territory need not to worry about their vehicles having the same steering column issues as with its counterpart in Saudi Arabia.
The Blue Oval’s arm in the country issued a statement, saying that no second-generation Ford Territory examples were affected with the problem revolving around the model.
Officially revealed to the public during Manila International Auto Show 2023), the Philippine-spec next-generation Ford Territory is offered in two variants namely the Titanium and Titanium X and are priced at P1.335 million to P1.599 million, respectively.
Earlier, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce is recalling hundreds of next-generation Ford Territory due to a potential issue with the compact sport utility vehicle’s steering column.
Some 665 next-generation Ford Territory units were affected by the recall, the Saudi government noted.
Further, the government pointed out that the problem could result to “detachment and loss of control while driving.”
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce immediately ordered owners of the next-generation Ford Territory to stop using the next-generation Ford Territory units in their area “and contact their local dealerships to arrange for repairs and compensation.”
