Ford has added a new trim to its Territory line-up in the Philippines.
Named the Ford Territory Sport, the small sport utility vehicle’s latest variant serves as the nameplate’s top-of-the-line trim.
Although it took cues from the Titanium X option (which has been turned into the nameplate’s mid-grade alternative), the Blue Oval’s newest offering in the country comes with a distinct visual feature.
“The new Territory Sport is a welcome addition to our Territory line-up in the Philippines especially to our customers looking for a sporty and stylish small SUV. It takes the Territory’s modern design and styling up a notch, with unique exterior and interior accents matched by a smooth, technology-enhanced driving experience,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Allen Breen was quoted as saying.
The new Ford Territory Sport features black accents and trimmings on the grille, skid plate, fog lamp, mirror cap, roof and rails, wheels, lower guard trim strip, as well as the “Territory” badge at the rear.
The same dark hue also applied black headliner and pillars, door trims, instrument panel with painted IP strip, along with the domino and chalk leather perforated seats with cyber orange trimmings.
Under the hood of the Ford Territory’s top-tier version is a 1.5-liter Ecoboost engine that has the capability to dish out a maximum of 158 horses and 248 Newton-meters of pulling power. The mill is matched to a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.
Further, the vehicle has four drive modes namely Eco, Normal, Sport, and Mountain.
The new Ford Territory Sport is also outfitted with a myriad of technologies like blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go feature, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, active park assist, and 360-degree camera — among others.
In addition, the newly-launched trim boasts a remote start system using a key fob.
Available in Panther Black, Lustrous Gray, and Crystal Pearl White, the new Territory Sport has price tag of P1.625 million with complimentary Peace of Mind service package.
Customers who will buy the vehicle will have the 5-Star Care Package inclusive of five-year free scheduled service plan, and five-year free roadside assistance — on top of a five-year warranty.
