A new exterior package is offered for Ford’s all-electric pickup truck.
“Ford is no stranger to limited-edition vehicles — and the F-150 Lightning Platinum Black is taking our award-winning electric truck to new levels of stealth and style. This is the perfect choice for those customers looking to make a statement,” said Ford Electric Vehicle Truck Programs Director Dave Pericak.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum Black Edition boasts blacked-out exterior appointments like 22-inch matte black wheels and lug nuts, black Ford Oval badging, power-deployable running boards with Agate Black gloss accent, a black soft-shell tonneau cover, a distinctive smoked signature light bar, reflective black-on-black Lightning badges, and an Agate Black gloss roof.
Additionally, the Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum Black Edition gets “Lightning” graphics on the glass above the passenger seating, luxe black premium Nirvana leather seating surfaces, and an aluminum plate in both frunk and driver door jamb with limited edition numbering.
Further, Ford enhanced the technological offerings of the F-150 Lightning Platinum Black Edition. Available are features like Ford BlueCruise version 1.2, an optimized towing setup experience, and Walk Away Locking.
Moreover, the Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum Black Edition has Pro Power Onboard with 9.6-kilowatts of exportable power, which now works even while the truck is switched off.
“70 percent of adults globally believe that their actions can influence positive change. The F-150 Lightning serves as a beacon of hope for people because they can rely on the electric truck to provide power to those in need or keep the lights on at home during an outage in the neighborhood,” noted Ford Motor Company Chief Futurist Jennifer Brace.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum Black Edition has an estimated range of 482 kilometers. It will have a starting price of US$97,995 (approximately P5.557 million) and will only be produced in 2,000 samples.
