Ford announced the return of the Splash Package last September. Revived from Ford’s '90s archives, the Splash Package adds unique colors to the iconic Ford Ranger pickup truck with similarly designed accents inside and outside the vehicle. Part of the Splash Package are the Splash Limited Edition trucks, which are one-time-only colors that will drop every few months. These include the limited Snow Edition, Forest Edition, and Sand Edition.
Scheduled to be released in Spring (from March to June) is the Snow Edition. It features the Avalanche exterior paint that is enhanced by Magnetic accents and is paired with the Avalanche grille nostrils. Unique ebony leather-trimmed seats feature Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters, with additional black accents highlighting the interior.
According to Ford, only 750 Splash Snow Editions will be made.
On the other hand, the limited Splash Forest Edition will be released in Summer (from June to September). It will come with the Forged Green exterior paint and will also be enhanced by Magnetic accents and with red grille nostrils. Inside are unique ebony cloth seats with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters, with additional black accents highlighting the interior.
The Splash Forest Edition will have a limited run of around 500 units.
Meanwhile, the Splash Sand Edition is slated to be released sometime this Fall (from September to December). The limited-edition pickup truck features the Desert Sand exterior paint, likewise enhanced by Magnetic accents, and comes with red grille nostrils. Similar to the aforementioned Splash Limited Edition trucks, the Sand Edition has ebony cloth seats with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters. Additional black accents highlight the truck’s interior.
Ford says that only 500 units of the Sand Edition will be made.
The Splash Limited Edition packages will add US$1,495 to the 2022 Ford Ranger’s price tag.
