Two years after it was introduced locally, Ford Philippines has maintained its leadership in the small sport utility vehicle (SUV) category with the Territory.
Considered as one of the best-selling crossovers in the market, the Ford Territory has sold 3,691 units for the first half of 2022, cornering 52 percent share of the small SUV segment. The aforementioned number of units sold is 11 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
Further, the model (which was unveiled in August 2020) was able to sell 1,574 examples, making it the best retail month performance since its launch. The Ford Territory’s June 2022 sales volume is nearly thrice as big as the number of units sold for the same month in 2021.
“We are delighted to see that the Ford Territory has maintained its appeal to Filipino SUV customers two years since it was launched,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen was quoted as saying.
“The Ford Territory remains one of our most important vehicles in the Ford lineup and we are excited to sustain its success for the remainder of the year,” he added.
To note, the Ford Territory was able to reach its 10,000th customer milestone earlier this year and is poised to hit the 15,000th sales milestone before the end of 2022.
Prior to that, the badge had its 5,000th-sales mark in June 2021, then immediately celebrated its 8,000th sales achievement in November last year.
The Ford Territory is powered by a 1.5L EcoBoost engine mated to a CVT transmission with Sport mode that delivers more than 140 horsepower and 225NM of pulling power.
With relatively huge proportions (and being driven on heavy traffic), it was able to do around 9 to 10 kilometer-per-liter consumption.
Earlier, the Ford Territory Club Philippines (whose membership has reached more than 22,000) regarded the vehicle's smart, safe and convenience technologies that include the panoramic moonroof, 360-Degree around view monitor, blind spot information system, 10-inch infotainment system, and Apple Carplay with wireless connectivity feature and Android Auto capability.
The Ford Territory (which is available in all Blue Oval’s dealerships nationwide) is packaged with a free three-year scheduled service plan (SSP) for a worry-free ownership vehicle experience. Its body colors range from Ruby Red, Diffused Silver, Panther Black, Crystal Pearl White, Moonstone Blue, and Star White.
