The 2024 Ford Mustang will be equipped with the brand’s new driver assistance feature called Exit Warning.
Per the Blue Oval brand, Exit Warning will help drivers safely share the road and protect vulnerable road users like cyclists, scooter riders, and pedestrians.
The Exit Warning feature works by warning the driver — before one opens the door — if a vulnerable road user is approaching the Ford Mustang.
When the Ford Mustang is in park, Exit Warning will identify vulnerable road users traveling over six kilometers per hour using the car’s radar.
If a vulnerable road user is approaching and could be impacted when opening the door, Exit Warning will use audio and visual alerts to notify the driver.
Exit Warning will remain active for up to three minutes after the ignition is turned off, including audio and visual alerts in the cluster and touch screen.
In addition to the abovementioned Exit Warning, the 2024 Ford Mustang also gets the Remote Rev feature.
Ford Philippines is yet to bring the 2024 Mustang to the country. When they do, slapping the pony car with Exit Warning could prove to be helpful as it will make the Mustang not only a fun ride but also a safe one.
