Foton boasts feature-loaded Harabas Miler

Aside from unveiling the Tornado EV electric truck, Foton Motor Philippines Inc. (FMPI) has launched another feature-packed truck: the all-new Harabas Miler.

Per FMPI, the newly-revealed model, shown during the company's 16th anniversary celebration, “will shame many ‘loaded’ cars and sport utility vehicles.”

In a statement, the Chinese automotive brand's local distributor said that the latest offering features headlamps with an auto-on technology while the daytime running lights (DRL) and signal lights are all on LED.

Apart from that, it also sports soft edges with chrome trimmings, distinct grille, and smoothly-integrated bumper and fog lamps that can be likened to that of a high-end van. Its side mirrors are electronically adjustable and are fitted with heaters to avoid fogging during cold weather.

Inside, the all-new Harabas Miler comes with a dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, seats, and overall ergonomics similar to a luxurious sedan to match its well-appointed cabin.

It also is equipped with power windows, central locking mechanism, electronically-adjustable headlamp beams, Bluetooth capable infotainment system and an instrument panel that comes with LCD gauges.

The all-new Foton Harabas Miler also wears safety and comfort technologies like anti-lock braking system and the more than eight storage areas and bottle holders within the cabin.

While it has the details of a passenger vehicle, the all-new Foton Harabas Miler has the characteristics of a workhorse. It is 5,308 millimeters long and 1,970mm wide with a 13 cubic-meter cargo box capacity but a tidy 5.1-meter turning radius. Further, the height of the all-new Foton Harabas Miler's cargo floor is 845mm.

Powering the all-new Foton Harabas Miler is a 2.5-liter direct-injection common-rail turbocharged diesel engine that can deliver a peak of 186 horsepower and 320 Newton-meters of torque. The mill is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. 

Per FMPI, the Foton Harabas Miler has been thoroughly developed over three years of harsh and intensive testing in over 80 transport scenarios, including harsh driving conditions from the high altitudes of the 4,700-meter Tanggula Mountain Pass in Tibet, to the 45-degree heat of the Turban Basin in Xinjiang, to the extreme -35-degree cold in Inner Mongolia.”

The pricing for the all-new Foton Harabas Miler starts at P860,000.
