Fuel companies to spike up gas prices; cut down diesel, kerosene

MANILA: Fuel companies in the Philippines will increase the prices of gasoline and reduce the cost of diesel tomorrow. 

Based on their respective advisories Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petron, Phoenix Petroleum, Seaoil, Unioil will raise the retail price of gasoline products by P0.70 per liter.  Conversely, diesel will go down by P1.15 per liter. 

Those that offer kerosene will slash P0.90 per liter on the aforementioned product.. 

The aforementioned adjustments will be implemented tomorrow. 

The Department of Energy has released data, which details the prevailing retail prices of petroleum products as of today. Below is the said table:

Last week’s movement 

Last week, local oil players reduced the price of fuel products. Below are the rollbacks implemented by fuel companies: 

• Down P0.20 per liter (diesel)
• Down P0.80 per liter (gasoline)
