Fuso PH climbs to 3rd spot in July 2022 truck, bus sales

For the full seven months of 2022, the company cornered 11.4 percent of the local truck and bus market.Citing the July 2022 figures of the Truck Manufacturers’ Association (TMA), the Japanese commercial vehicle brand’s local distributor told Carmudi Philippines that it was able to sell 105 units in July 2022.
In a statement, the company shared that it is the second time in 2022 that it reached the aforementioned ranking in the TMA tally — the first was last March.
SFP President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yosuke Nishi expressed pride over the latest achievement.
“Fuso’s third spot in the overall industry is a proof that the brand has established a relationship with our customers. It is a testimony that Fuso is committed to our promise of delivering high-quality and reliable products and services to our customers’ business needs. Aside from this, we thank our dealer partners and front liners for their efforts and dedication to living the brand’s core values,” Nishi was quoted as saying.
“This milestone indicates that we are committed to our core values to provide the best sales and service support to all our customers,” the company’s chief executive added.
Further, SFP also experienced an improvement of 26.2 percent for its sales performance in the full seven months of the year compared to 2021 — increasing its market share by 11.4 percent.
Moreover, SFP also took 22 percent share of the light duty truck segment (which covers 4.1-tons to 4.5 tons or Category 3 under TMA segmentation). In the said division, the brand reached the second spot. The thrust came from its Fuso Canter FE71 (four-wheeler) and Canter FE73 (six-wheeler).
Powering the Canter FE71 is 3.0-liter turbo direct injection diesel engine while Canter FE73, a four-cylinder turbo-intercooler, common-rail direct injection diesel power mill.

Relatedly, SFP expressed confidence that it will achieve more milestones in the remaining months of the year.
