Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) has teased the new Canter FE71 Four-Wheeler truck at the 2022 Transport and Logistics Philippines held at the World Trade Center.
According to SFP, the aforementioned model will officially be retailed in the local market by next year.
In a statement, the Japanese truck manufacturer’s local distributor said that reservations for the soon-to-be-available Fuso Canter FE71 Four-Wheeler will be announced by the company’s sales team. Aside from that, its full specifications will be shared on its official launch.
During the three-day event, SFP also showcased the new F-Wing—an FJ 2528R wing van body and the Canter Commute Modern PUV (Class 2).
Further, the firm also highlighted during the event its product portfolio and new advanced Fleet Management System called the Fuso Fleet Intelligence in collaboration with V3 Smart Technologies (Philippines) Inc.
In a statement, SFP said that the Fuso Fleet Intelligence System is aimed at providing customers with a fleet management system through smartphone connectivity.
The advanced telematic system includes fuel monitoring, route history, geofencing, tamper detection, analytics, and more. The Singapore-made system — developed by V3 Smart Technologies, a company with 20 years of experience in fleet management solutions — will help customers maximize revenue by minimizing overhead costs while watching operations from their vantage point.
Meanwhile, SFP shared that Fuso Canter can transport 2,640-6,125 kilograms of load depending on the variant chosen as it is powered by a 3.0-liter Euro5-compliant engine that can deliver 300Nm of torque. It also has a Built Ready range namely the Rivetless Aluminum, Passenger Van, Dropside Body, and Refrigerated Van.
Further, the Fuso Fj is powered by a 6S20 diesel engine matched to a nine-speed manual transmission that can provide 1,120Nm of torque. Aside from the Wing van, the Fuso FJ variants are also available in flatbed, and dump body type applications.
Lastly, the Fuso Canter Commute (Class 2) and Canter Express (Class 3) vehicles are designed to support the government’s public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program. Both vehicles are equipped with a Euro4-compliant 3.0-liter powertrain capable of 294Nm-churn that is paired to a five-speed manual transmission.
