Fuso Philippines will launch an all-new version of the Canter FE71 commercial truck on July 11, 2023.
According to the invite sent to Carmudi Philippines by the Mitsubishi and Daimler-owned truck brand, the all-new model will be eco-friendly, efficient, and safe.
No specific information about the truck was released, so those looking forward to checking out its full specifications will have to wait until the model is unveiled.
Nevertheless, Fuso’s local wing confirmed that the all-new model will be the first automated-manual transmission Fuso light-duty truck in the Philippines. This means that the said truck will only have two pedals as there will be no need to engage a clutch when shifting gears.
On that note, fleet operators and commercial truck drivers can expect the incoming Fuso Canter FE71 to be easier to drive.
We have yet to receive confirmation, but since the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 will be fitted with a modern transmission system, it is possible that the upcoming model will also be intelligent and compatible with the company’s Fleet Intelligence program.
Currently, the Fuso Canter FE71 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine mated to a five-speed transmission. This setup makes approximately 123 horsepower and 294 Newton-meters of torque.
It is offered in various body types, namely a passenger van, a rivetless aluminum van, a reefer van, and a drop-side truck.
The unveiling of the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 will happen at the Filinvest Tent, Spectrum Plaza, Spectrum Midway Extension, in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
