Aside from the bullet-proof version of its flagship model to be released soon, an executive of Legado Motors, Inc. (LMI) revealed that they will also be bringing in the second-generation GS4 to the Philippine market.
LMI Product Director Brennan Lim announced that they will have the latest version of the aforementioned sport utility vehicle without revealing the specific timeline yet.
In a statement released last June 28, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. has released the all-new GS4 in Panama “and soon also in Bolivia.”
Based on the GAC Panama website, the all-new GS4 will still be powered by a 1.5-liter Dual Continuous Variable Valve Timing with Bosch E-turbo technology. This power mill, which can deliver 169hp, is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission (third-generation developed by Aisin). In the Panama version, the GS4 is offered in a sole variant (GB).
As seen in the Panama version, the forthcoming GS4 wears a redesigned grille, and the overall rear look now has a sharp edges.
Just like the version seen overseas, the soon-to-be-launched GAC GS4 will feature 17-inch aluminum wheels — smaller compared to the outgoing model’s 18-inch wheels. For its overall dimension, all numbers have been retained.
