GAC Motor PH’s May YTD sales up by 244%

GAC Motor Philippines recently enjoyed an all-time best sales performance after its year-to-date retail output for January-May 2023  skyrocketed by 244 percent.

Without sharing specific figures, GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Redentor Cajayon said during a recent press conference that the year-on-year performance can be attributed to the strong demand for the GS8, Empow, and the recently-launched Emkoo.

“Our tremendous sales growth in the last five months are being driven by the terrific customer response to our latest vehicles, which offer the best value for money in the market today,” Cajayon shared.

“This growth momentum proves that more and more Filipinos are embracing the GAC Motor brand and appreciating the high-quality, reliability and fine craftsmanship of our vehicles,” he added.

Further, Cajayon said that the Chinese automaker’s local arm is keen on delivering on its commitment to put up more dealer locations across the country — with 15 sales facilities to be fully-operational by next month.

“Since January, we have been focused on further expanding our dealer network to ensure even greater convenience for both our existing and new customers. From six dealer locations in January, we are growing to 15 fully-operational dealerships by July, putting us right on track to achieving our target of 20 dealerships by year end,” he noted.

To note, the 15 GAC Motor outlets are located in Alabang, Bacoor, Batangas City, Butuan, Cainta, Davao, E. Rodriguez Avenue, Iloilo, Lipa City, Makati, Manila Bay, Pampanga, Pasig, Quezon Avenue, and Tarlac. The firm is also slated to open to more dealership locations (Bacolod and Cebu) come the third quarter of 2023.

To help boost the brand presence further, GAC Motor Philippines has introduced actor and host Dingdong Dantes as its new brand ambassador.

“We are honored to have Dingdong Dantes as our new brand ambassador for GAC Motor.  His achievements in his field prove his dedication, high standards, and commitment to quality, which are the same values we stand for in GAC.  We strongly believe he is the perfect fit to our brand persona,” Cajayon explained.
