GAC Motor Philippines has officially launched the M6 Pro multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in the country.
Per the Astara-led Chinese car brand, the GAC M6 Pro is a dynamic seven-seater well-suited for the Filipino family.
“GAC Motor Philippines is in pursuit of providing a wide range of vehicles that cater to the dynamic lifestyles of Filipino families and communities,” GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt said.
“We are excited for the M6 Pro to be experienced and enjoyed by customers throughout the country. This is a great new family MPV that embodies the meticulous craftsmanship, engineering excellence, cutting-edge technology, and high-quality promise that GAC Motor is known for,” he added.
The GAC M6 Pro boasts a stylish exterior inspired by the brand’s “wind wing” design language, which according to the local arm of the carmaker offers both aesthetic and aerodynamic benefits.
At the front, the MPV gets Matrix LED headlamps — styled to follow the sharp contours of the vehicle's front fascia. Still at the fore are ultramodern features such as automatic height adjustment, headlights alarm, follow-me-home function, and high beam assist.
Further improving its road presence are a set of 18-inch wheels with “top-of-the-line” tires that ensure the best grip and road stability. It also boasts a “mecha-cyclone tomahawk hub” design that contributes to the overall sharp looks of the GAC M6 Pro.
The rear end of the MPV comes with tail lamps fitted with LED beads that span the full width of the vehicle. The said feature — GAC’s local wing pointed out — not only gives it a striking look but also upgrades its overall roadworthiness.
The GAC M6 Pro also wows with its refined interior, which is perfect for young Filipino families.
Past the leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel of the MPV’s range-topping model is a seven-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. The two screens are seamlessly integrated in a sleek housing, which creates a clean and uncluttered look.
The said infotainment head unit can support smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity.
A set of leather upholstery welcome all occupants, especially those witting on the second row captain’s chairs. Likewise, they can feel closer to nature during both short or long trips thanks to the panoramic sunroof fitted as standard on the highest available trim.
To keep the passengers cool — even those sitting on the third row — the GAC M6 Pro is equipped with a dual-zone air conditioning system.
The lower variant comes with fabric seats and lacks some features such as the sunroof.
The GAC M6 Pro also boasts a robust list of safety features, which is something many Filipino car buyers are looking for.
Its roster of safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, high beam assist, integrated cruise assist, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition system, among others.
In addition, it gets an electronic stability Program, hill-start hold control, and hill descent control, plus an electronic parking brake paired with auto-hold functionality.
Under the hood of the GAC M6 Pro is a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission with 174 horsepower and 270 Newton-meters of torque.
The GAC M6 Pro is offered in two variants: GS and GL. They are priced at P1.230 million and P1.598 million, respectively.
Available colors are Crystal White, Peacock Blue, and Elegant Black.
