The Geely GX3 Pro boasts a small and compact body, making it ideal for city dwellers who often have to traverse the narrow roads of the metro.
On paper, the Geely GX3 Pro measures 4,005 millimeters (mm) long, 1,760mm wide, and 1,575mm tall.
Geely is offering the GX3 Pro in two variants: S and Comfort.
The latter is fitted with a continously variable transmission with a manual mode (eight-speed Triptronic slushbox), making it a good pick for those who want a more comfortable and convenient drive.
On the other hand, the former is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, which will undoubtedly please those who prefer to drive, instead of being driven.
Powering the Geely GX3 Pro is a peppy 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine, found also on the Emgrand.
Despite the non-turbo powerplant, the Geely GX3 Pro offers an admirable driving experience, which can even be jumpy at times.
Nevertheless, you can feel that the gasoline-fed mill will provide you enough power in various driving situations.
The said engine makes approximately 100 horses with 142 Newton-meters of torque.
The Geely GX3 Pro packs a 3.5-inch instrument cluster, which combines analog and digital gauges.
While the instrument panel is functional and straightforward, it would have been better to see a fully-digital screen.
Likewise, the eight-inch infotainment system of the Geely GX3 Pro could have been more responsive. Also, it does not have Android Auto nor Apple CarPlay.
Geely offers the sunroof feature only for the Comfort variant of the GX3 Pro.
That said, the Chinese carmaker could have made the crossover a more viable option for the general car buying segment by making the said amenity available across the board.
The Geely GX3 Pro’s shortcomings can be considered inconsequential considering its advantages.
On that note, it still makes it a decent choice for those looking for a capable city car.
The Geely GX3 Pro is priced from P778,000-P878,000.
