Geely opens pop-up showroom in Alabang
Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) recently opened a pop-up showroom in Alabang Town Center (ATC)—considered a key spot for businesses in the country.
Open until to September 30, the 80-square meter facility is open to those eyeing to test drive or buy any of the three offerings that the local distributor of the Chinese automotive manufacturer currently carries.
SGAP offers three Geely models: the Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango.
SGAP President and CEO Yosuke Nishi said that the pop-up store is the company's opening salvo in building the company’s presence in the area.
“While Geely is expected to rise in Alabang this year, we would like to build our presence there as early as now. We have been hearing requests for a dealership in that area and we just don’t want our customers in Alabang and generally in the South to wait any further,” Nishi was quoted as saying.
The newly installed SGAP president stated that being a “new brand in the country, Geely has a lot more to do in achieving its goal to be one of the key players in the automotive market, dealer expansion is one of them.”
“Our successful car launches which were met with positive reception from our customers are indicators that we have a competitive advantage in the car market. Our aim is to maintain it and keep building our momentum,” he added.
Currently, Geely has 11 operational dealerships and 13 more are rising this year. With SGAP’s ongoing rapid expansion, Geely is expected to be more accessible to much more people by the end of the year.
