Geely opens virtual showrooms for SGAP-owned dealerships
Geely PH announced that it is opening dealer-based virtual showrooms to meet the need of its customers.
Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President and Chief Executive Officer Mikihisa Takayama said that the company will start opening these showrooms in line with the industry’s digitalization efforts.
The two showrooms that will have a digital counterpart are SGAP-owned dealerships such as North EDSA and the newly opened physical dealership in Makati—to be followed by other dealers soon.
The announcement was made following the Philippine government's reimposition of an enhanced community quarantine across NCR Plus and extending it until April 11.
“Just as we were expecting a solid economic rebound after many businesses including the auto industry were brought to a grinding halt, it seems like we would have to endure more and adapt further to the new normal. Our bid to continue serving our valued customers without putting their safety at risk during these times continues,” Takayama was quoted as saying.
“Geely customers may shop for Geely vehicles in the comfort of their own homes. Now more than ever, we see a growing worldwide trend for online shopping which now includes passenger vehicles,” the SGAP chief.
The said dealer websites will enable Geely customers to do the following:
- See all Geely models’ exterior and interior with price and specifications.
- Book for a service appointment.
- Apply for car insurance.
- Chat with an online sales agent.
- Make an online transaction for car purchase.
