The Geely GX3 Pro will be officially introduced to the local market by next week, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) confirmed.
According to the Chinese automotive manufacturer’s distributor in the country, the launch for the upcoming entry-level sport utility vehicle (SUV) is set for August 8.
First shown to the public at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023, the soon-to-arrive Geely offering is set to challenge the Toyota Raize, the Honda Brio (which recently received a midcycle upgrade), and Kia Stonic.
While no updates from the company (apart from the official launch announcement) were shared as of posting, it can be recalled that Carmudi Philippines already reported that the forthcoming SUV will be powered by 1.5-liter gasoline engine that can deliver up to 102 horsepower and 140 Newton-meters of torque. The mill is mated to a five-speed gearbox (in manual and automatic versions).
Based on what was seen at the four-day event last April, the Geely GX3 Pro will sport the same fascia as with the Emgrand sedan as the two wear vertical slats as grille.
Inside the Geely GX3 Pro are the flat-bottom steering wheel, toggle switches to control the air-conditioning system and a touchscreen infotainment display.
As shared to Carmudi Philippines by a reliable source, the pricing of the arriving Geely GX3 Pro will be around P700,000-P850,000.
