Grab-Makati Vaccination Center opened in Chino Roces Ave.
The local government of Makati and Grab Philippines have teamed up to launch a vaccination center to help economic frontliners get inoculated against COVID-19. The newly launched vaccination center aims to provide a safe, organized, and convenient facility and targets to provide vaccines to up to 7,000 economic frontliners.
“Vaccinating our economic frontliners requires a concerted effort from both the City Government of Makati as well as our community stakeholders, and this strategic partnership with Grab Philippines will truly help accelerate the inoculation of our economic frontliners. By getting more economic frontliners inoculated, we are helping protect the lives of many economic frontliners, and supporting many businesses to recover and thrive,” said Makati Mayor Abby Binay.
Around 14,000 vaccines were provided by the Makati City Government.
The Grab-Makati Vaccination Center will be located in Wilcon IT Hub in Chino Roces Makati and will operate from Monday to Saturday (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Grab said that the Grab-Makati Vaccination Center can accommodate up to 400 economic frontliners per day.
Vaccine administration will be done by Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health).
In addition to the Grab-Makati Vaccination Center, Grab Philippines has been involved in several initiatives to help encourage more Filipinos to get inoculated. One of these is Vacc To Normal, a campaign that encourages Grab drivers and delivery partners to get vaccinated to win special raffle prizes, rewards, and get COVID vaccination insurance.
As part of the Vacc To Normal campaign, Grab Philippines has also launched Vacced Ka Na Ba? — a nationwide initiative that rewards vaccinated individuals with Grab promo vouchers every time they submit their vaccination cards via the Grab app.
Taos-puso rin po akong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga Ka-Grab sa kanilang pakikiisa sa ating kampanya sa pagpapabakuna (Every day, our economic frontliners respond to the needs of our countrymen, that's why it's important for them to be vaccinated against COVID-19. From the start of the government's vaccination efforts, Grab Philippines has been assisting our partners in national and local government to get our thousands of driver and deliver partners vaccinated. My heartfelt thanks go to our Ka-Grab for being one in our vaccination campaign), ” said Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz.
Through efforts with the City of Makati, the Grab-Makati Vaccination Center hopes to get more economic frontliners vaccinated. Let's not pass up this chance to get vaccinated, as this is the key to restoring the vigor of our community and economy).”
