Grab PH launches GrabCar Bayanihan to encourage COVID-19 vaccination in NCR
Grab Philippines has launched GrabCar Bayanihan to provide safe mobility solutions for residents going to and from vaccination centers in Metro Manila.
Aimed to support its GrabBayanihan Vaccination Support Program, the said program was designed to support easier access to the COVID-19 vaccine and to encourage consumers to get vaccinated through the local government units.
The GrabCar Bayanihan, which was beta-tested in Quezon City, will pilot with over a thousand vaccinated driver-partners, and will be available in Manila, Las Piñas, Taguig, Pasig, Makati, Quezon City, Pateros, and Marikina.
“Grab Philippines is working closely with the other local government units to extend GrabCar Bayanihan service to support their residents with safe mobility service going to and from their vaccination centers,” Grab Philippines claimed in its statement.
Aisde from helping the vaccination program of the government, the GrabCar Bayanihan program will also provide livelihood opportunities for Grab driver-partners residing in the aforementioned Metro Manila cities.
Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz (in photo) said that the company is driven to help the Filipinos, especially during these times.

By working together with our local government partners in Metro Manila on their COVID vaccination efforts, we play our part in ensuring that our kababayans are safe, well, and healthy - and we look forward to working on the same goals with the rest of our national and local government partners. As we all work towards a safe and gradual recovery for our communities, Grab will continue to leverage its platform and technology to ensure that our kababayans have the means to get inoculated,” she added.
Earlier, Grab Philipppines started offering a 10-percent discount on GrabCar services going to and from vaccination centers in Cebu. The said program will be accorded using the code VACCTONORMAL when the public is ferried to and from inoculation sites.
