Grab PH offers discounted rides to spur Cebu vaccination drive
In its bid to boost the inoculation efforts in the area, Grab Philipppines is offering a 10-percent discount on GrabCar services going to and from vaccination centers.
Offered until end of July 2021, Grab Philippines is urging the public to take advantage of the promo by booking their driver-partners and using the code VACCTONORMAL when they need to be ferried to and from inoculation sites.
The latest initiative of the mobility mobile app is part of its broader GrabBayanihan Vaccination Support Program to give access to COVID-19 vaccines and encourage consumers to get vaccinated through the local government units.
Aside from providing safe mobility solutions to support the vaccination efforts in Cebu, the discounted rides to customers will also help propel livelihood opportunities for Grab driver-partners in the area.
According to Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz, the move is the company’s way to help the locals through the pandemic.
“Cebu’s vaccination efforts are key to the gradual reopening of its economy. Through our mobility initiative dedicated to Cebu, we help ensure the safety and welfare of Cebuanos during these challenging times, while working closely with the local government in spurring their COVID vaccination efforts,” she said.
"This initiative is an expression of our broader commitment to the socioeconomic recovery and development of Cebu, and we will continue to leverage our platform and technology to support Cebuanos in getting inoculated, and they continue to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities in the many days to come,” Vera Cruz added.
