Chevrolet Philippines — under Hariphil Asia Resources Incorporated (HARI) — has brought back the Captiva nameplate.
The revived model is being touted as a multi-purpose vehicle that can answer the needs of most Filipino families thanks to its sporty looks, ample space, and decent power.
Outside, the Chevrolet Captiva wears a long hood (compared to most MPVs on the market), which is fitted with a two-part radiator grille. The said latticework — which has decent-sized horizontal vents — is flanked by a cluster of lights on each side.
The aforementioned lights include LED daytime running lights, LED projector headlamps, side turn signals, and front fog lamps.
Also noticeable is its protruding chin, which gives the vehicle a sporty fascia.
Its sides are fitted with sport utility vehicle-esque appointments, which come in the form of blacked-out wheel wells, door claddings, and pillars. It also has silver roof rails and a set of 18-inch two-tone wheels shod in 215/60 radial tires.
At the back, the seven-seater MPV is equipped with a roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated brake lamp, a good-sized rear glass, and LED taillamps.
It also has a beefy bumper with reflectors on each side. A hydraulically-assisted tailgate rounds up the features offered by the Chevrolet Captiva.
The cabin of the Chevrolet Captiva gets leather appointments, which can be found on the seats, the steering wheel, and the shifter boot.
It also has a seven-inch instrument cluster accompanied by a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Further, the MPV gets a sunroof, power outlets to keep handheld gadgets juiced up, and automatic air conditioning.
Powering the Chevrolet Captiva is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a continuously variable transmission.
Propulsion is sent to the front wheels with a maximum output of 148 horsepower with 255 Newton-meters of torque.
