KEY TAKEAWAYS
How many new models does Harley-Davidson have for 2022?
As of the moment, Harley-Davidson adds eight new models to its 2022 lineup. What engine will be powering all eight models?
Harley-Davidson will use the new Milwaukee-Eight 117 to power the eight new models.“As part of our focus on stronghold segments, including Grand American Touring and Cruisier, the 2022 product line is designed for power and performance. Each of these new models features the unrivaled power of the Milwaukee-Eight 117, for those riders who want nothing but the biggest and the best, building on our position as the most desirable motorcycle brand in the world,” said Harley-Davidson Chairman, President, and CEO Jochen Zeitz.
The two new Grand American Tourers combine the V-Twin muscle of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain with premium riding comfort thanks to the Reflex-linked Brembo brakes with ABS. It’s also equipped with the latest in motorcycle tech with the Boom! Box GTS infotainment system with color touchscreen and navigation, cruise control, and Daymaker LED headlamps.
In terms of style, the Street Glide ST offers the iconic Harley-Davidson batwing fairing, while the Road Glide ST rolls with an aerodynamic frame-mounted shark-nose fairing with dual headlamps.
Meanwhile, the Low Rider S and new Low Rider ST models offer the taut handling performance of the Harley-Davidson Softail chassis and the V-Twin muscle of a Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain.
The Low Rider S model is a performance cruiser kingpin designed for the rider seeking unapologetic power. The new Low Rider ST model offers the versatility of hard bags and a new frame-mounted fairing, plus an available Harley-Davidson Audio system powered by Rockford Fosgate.
“Our customers truly inspire us and the Low Rider ST was born from seeing the incredible builds at motorcycle shows around the world. We took the iconic Motor Company design from the '80s and gave it a new identity with a modern echo. Add the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, a taller suspension, and raised saddlebags and the Low Rider ST delivers both a dynamic visual package as well as a dramatic performance punch,” commented Harley-Davidson Vice President of Design Brad Richards.
On the other hand, the four new models from Harley-Davidson CVO feature Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrains, Rockford Fosgate audio systems, Boom! Audio 30K Bluetooth Helmet Headsets, and Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements by Harley-Davidson. They also don exclusive and handcrafted paint and designs for 2022.
Just recently, the local arm of Harley-Davidson launched the Sportster S. Harley-Davidson made no announcement about if or when the aforementioned models are to hit local dealerships but a press release from Harley-Davidson of Manila read “Further. Faster. 2022 Models first batch soon to hit the Philippine shores. H-D of Manila will have 2022 models arriving soon at our Greenhills and BGC showrooms,” hinting that at least some of these new models could make it to Philippine dealerships.
