One of the highly-awaited unveiling to date would be the refreshed version of the Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) seven-seater SUV, the Fortuner. Like what we announced earlier, we will get to see what it really looks like come October 17 (Saturday).
And while we wait for more details (apart from the ones we already gave earlier), here are some pieces of information to tickle your taste buds for the highly-anticipated online introduction of the upgraded Fortuner.
Earlier, Carmudi was advised that the upcoming vehicle launch—which follows the string of online launches for the Japanese marque (Toyota Hilux, Vios, Corolla Cross, and Wigo)—will be the brand's final vehicle reveal for the year.
Just like what is offered in Thailand, the Fortuner will be offered in two engine options: 2.4L and 2.8 liter diesel engine. However, the Philippine version will drop the Legender name.
Aside from that, only the base model will be available in manual transmission—all others will be with an automatic transmission.
Based on the information we gathered, the forthcoming Fortuner will have a total of six color options and a pair of two-tones, which are new for the Japanese SUV. Color options are as follows:
The two-tone option is only reserved for the top-grade Toyota Fortuner variants and the Super White is only given on the base model.
For the pricing, we have been advised that upgraded version will have as much as around P118,000 price increase—but not necessarily reflected in the top-of-the-line.
