Geely just dropped the drapes off its latest entry into the crossover category, the GX3 Pro.
With a new model that’s as sporty and as peppy as the Geely GX3 Pro, it is possible that many car buyers are more than willing to become early adopters of the said nameplate.
To help car buyers make a better decision about what trim level to get, we’re going to take a look at the two available variants of the Geely GX3 Pro.
Geely GX3 Pro S
Geely GX3 Pro Comfort
The Geely GX3 Pro S is the base variant of the nameplate and wears projector halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, power side mirrors, satin silver roof rails, and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
Likewise, the Comfort grade of the Geely comes with the aforementioned features but comes exclusively with auto headlight control.
Inside the Geely GX3 Pro S are PVC seats with a leather-like feel. The same material is applied to the crossover’s steering wheel with multi-functional controls. Past it is an instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch multi-information display.
Providing additional information and entertainment to its passengers is an eight-inch infotainment system with screen mirroring via Carbit Link. Audio is sent to two speakers inside the cabin.
The Geely GX3 Pro Comfort beefs the interior up a bit with six speakers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sunroof.
Powering both Geely GX3 Pro models is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine shared by the Emgrand.
The S variant has a five-speed manual gearbox while the Comfort grade gets a continuously variable transmission.
Both models make 102 horsepower and 142 Newton-meters of torque.
Up to here, the two variants of the Geely GX3 Pro only have subtle differences, but the range-topping variant appears to have a significant edge over the base trim when it comes to safety and other driver-assist technologies.
The Geely GX3 Pro S comes with standard features like an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, a reverse camera, reverse parking sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system, and central locking.
The top-of-the-line model, on the other hand, has all that and more with traction and stability control, hill-start assist, hill descent control, cruise control, and an anti-theft feature with an immobilizer.
The Geely GX3 Pro S and Comfort are currently offered at a special introductory price of P698,000 and P798,000 respectively. Standard retail price is P778,000 and P878,000 for the respective models.
