Kia Philippines has showcased some of the configurations of its K2500 at the Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX).
The vehicles — K2500 Refrigerated Van, K2500 Kargo, and K2500 Double Cab Dropside — were displayed from June 15-19 at the Kargado Karavan booth to highlight its capabilities on various business operations.
Though varying in body types, the offerings are all powered by a 2.5-liter engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Ayala-led company said that the body of the Kia K2500 Refrigerated Van — manufactured by Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. (CFCI) — can consistently provide a box temperature of -20 degrees centigrade (or up to -25 degrees centigrade when needed).
Aside from outstanding thermal insulation, the panels of the Kia K2500 Refrigerated Van are said to be environment-friendly and less water absorptive.
Meanwhile, the Kia K2500 Kargo has an enclosed body that provides substantial space for appliances, equipment and other supplies. The utility vehicle can also be used to transport products that do not require refrigeration.
Lastly, the Kia K2500 Double Cab Dropside — which is the sole vehicle in the country that offers such configuration — can seat up to six people, while the dropside allows easy loading and unloading of goods. It also features 26 strategically-placed rope hooks and additional two “canopy hooks” to connect canopy or other accessories.
Further, Kia Philippines said that every Kia K2500 offers generous aftersales perks such as three-year or 110,000- kilometer warranty, free 24/7 roadside assistance for three years and assured spare parts availability.
The Kia K2500 cab and chassis 4x2 is priced at P925,000 while the 4x4 retails at P1.015 million. The 4x4 single cab and double dropside are offered at P1.01 million and P1.115 million, respectively. The body configurations for the cab and chassis are dealer options available in the 42-strong dealership network nationwide.
