Here’s Yamaha’s 2022 range of hyper naked, sport heritage, and adventure bikes in Europe

Understanding the changing needs and the shifting trends in the motorcycle industry, Yamaha shares its updated 2022 model year bikes in the hyper naked, sport heritage, and adventure categories.

    The first of these bikes is the new MT-10 SP. Yamaha’s newest naked bike features second-gen Öhlins electronic suspensions, braided brake hoses, Brembo radial master cylinder, titanium exhaust system, APSG throttle with selectable PWR modes, a six-axis IMU with full rider aids suite, a 4.2-inch TFT meter with Ride Mode selection, and a powerful 998cc, Euro 5-compliant, CP4 engine.

    Yamaha adds that the MT-10 SP, along with other SP models, will come in exclusive colors and will represent the pinnacle of machine development, and feature the most sophisticated specifications available.

    In addition, every MT in the 2022 lineup, excluding SP models, will be available in the new Cyan Storm color, with wheels finished in pure Cyan while the gray and black bodywork feature Cyan and vermillion accents on the tail and air scoops.

    Meanwhile, Yamaha’s sport heritage lineup gets two new bikes in the form of the new XSR700 and XSR700 XTribute.

    The former features evolved design details and a revised cockpit layout with integrated headlight stays. The latter will have off-road handlebars and chunky footrests, block-pattern Pirelli MT 60 RS tires for street and gravel road riding, as well as a special XT-style flat seat, fork gaiters, and integrated headlight stays.

    Both the XSR700 and XSR700 XTribute will share the same 689cc, CP2 high-torque, Euro 5-compliant engine. The two XSR bikes will also come in coloring and graphics inspired by Yamaha’s past.

    On the other hand, Yamaha’s ADV category is spiced up with the addition of the 2022 Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition.

    The 2022 Ténéré 700 boasts a slim, compact, and ergonomic body and seat supported by a lightweight double cradle tubular steel frame. Behind the aggressive rally-bred face with four LED headlights is its rally-style cockpit with tapered handlebars that house the compact rally-style multi-function instruments.

    An ADV through and through, the 2022 Ténéré 700 features adjustable long-travel 43mm upside-down forks, a remotely adjustable rear suspension, 21-inch/18-inch spoked wheels with adventure tires, switchable ABS for on the fly adjustment, a slim long-range 16-liter fuel tank, as well as screen and handguards for rider protection.

    Power will come from a high torque, 689cc, four-stroke CP2 Euro 5-compliant engine.

    The rally edition of the Ténéré 700 will come with a dedicated Rally seat, an Akrapovič slip-on muffler, a heavy-duty skid plate, a radiator protector, LED flashers, additional grip pads, and off-road hand grips.

    The 2022 Ténéré 700 Rally Edition has the same engine as the 2022 Ténéré 700. The former will be made available in a new Heritage White finish while the latter will be available in the new Icon Blue and Midnight Black paint.
