Higer low-floor buses to ply new P2P Guiguinto-Trinoma bus route

MANILA: The new point-to-point (P2P) Guiguinto-Quezon City route will feature low-floor Higer KLQ6129G buses.

Per Bulacan P2P Company President Atty. Sherwin Tugna, the six brand-new public transportation units – which will be used to ferry passengers on the aforementioned destinations – are designed to provide safe, affordable and comfortable transportation. 

Formally opening the new route are Bulacan P2P Co. President Atty. Sherwin Tugna, together with Guiguinto Mayor Agatha Cruz, Vice Mayor Banjo Estrella, ABC President Darsee Alvarez and Waltermart Vice President for Operations Rhobi-Zen Ignacio.

“This is more than just an enterprise; it is a commitment to the riding public that we serve” said Tugna — emphasizing that the initiative reflects his personal journey from a self-made entrepreneur to a public servant dedicated to uplifting his constituents.

“Sa bawat biyahe, may kwento ng tagumpay—tagumpay ng isang taong nagsimula sa baba at ng medyo umangat ay patuloy na tumutulong at naglilingkod para sa bayan (In every trip, there is a success story — the success of someone who started at the bottom and, having risen a bit, continues to help and serve the nation),” he said, underscoring how this effort transforms challenges into opportunities for the people.

Vehicle specifications

Here are some details about the buses as posted on the local distributor’s website.

All the six Higer KLQ6129G one-step buses come with the following measurements:

These public utility vehicles are powered by a Euro4-compliant YC6G270-40 mill that can deliver a maximum of 266 horsepower.

Its stopping power comes from: dual circuit service type, with anti-locking system, as well as a spring energy parking brake.

Providing stability to the vehicle are its leaf spring suspension system.

Its safety, convenience, and comfort amenities include:

• Push-pull type window with lower parts enclosed and upper part of aluminum frame
• Anti-attrition floor Leatheroid
• Digital clock
• Automatic fire extinguisher device in engine compartment
• Safety hammer and four-kilogram fire extinguisher
• Color reverse and middle door
• Manual sunvisor
• Blue blinds window curtain
• Wheelchair ramp

New route perks

Tugna added that beyond convenience, the initiative also generates local employment, supports small businesses and reinvests profits into community-driven projects, contributing to Bulacan’s economic growth.

“Bawat biyahe ay may hatid na ginhawa, bunga ng ating sama-samang pagsusumikap at pagkakaisa (Every trip brings comfort, which is the result of our collective efforts and unity),” Tugna added, highlighting that the project is not just a business venture but a movement for inclusive progress.
