Some seven months after being introduced in the Philippine market, the all-new Honda BR-V has reached the 5,000-units sales milestone.
According to Honda Cars Philippines, Incorporated (HCPI), the second-generation BR-V claimed the top spot on HCPI’s year-to-date sales charts.
“This highlights the nameplate’s exceptional qualities that have resonated with customers — its distinct SUV appeal that’s confident and classy, comfortable, and versatile interior, powerful and fuel-efficient engine, advanced features and safety — all anchored on Honda’s track record of quality and reliability, translating to best value and peace of mind throughout years of ownership," HCPI said in a statement.
It can be recalled that last April, the all-new BR-V has already retailed 3,000 examples.
With that, HCPI shared five reasons why the all-new BR-V has enjoyed a strong presence in the local market.
HCPI said that the all-new BR-V provides a dynamic body shape, with strong lines that run from the front to the back of the body. It has a 207-millimeter (mm) ground-clearance and 17-inch alloy wheels that gives it a strong presence on the road — which can be furthered with the availability of Honda genuine accessories that will help personalize the model to suit the owner’s taste and personality.
The seven-seater offering boasts one-touch tumble second-row seats, a dive-down mechanism for the third-row chairs that guarantees a large cargo space — allowing users to haul more load.
Buyers of the second-generation BR-V can get either leather or high-grade fabric seats — depending on the chosen trim.
Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter double overhead cam i-VTEC engine that can deliver a little over 119 horsepower and 145 Newton-meters of pulling power.
Mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission, the vehicle can dish out the following fuel efficiency numbers as seen in the fuel economy run conducted in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP):
The myriad of technologies found on the all-new Honda BR-V is spearheaded by the seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen display audio that has Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
Further, the vehicle is also fitted with speed-sensing auto door locks, dual and side airbags, reverse camera with guidelines, driver and front passenger seatbelt reminder, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, security alarm, immobilizer, emergency stop Signal and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line option comes with side curtain airbags, Lanewatch camera, walk-away auto lock and rear seatbelt reminder while the remote engine start is equipped in all variants (except for the entry-level variation).
Furthermore, the all-new Honda BR-V’s range topper has the Honda Sensing suite of technologies, equipped the vehicle with collision mitigation braking system; lane keep assist system; lead car departure notification system; road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning; adaptive cruise control, and auto-high beam.
To note, the all-new Honda BR-V received a five-star rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia.
Owners of the all-new Honda BR-V are only prescribed to have their cars undergo periodic maintenance service (PMS) twice a year or upon 10,000 kilometers (whichever comes first).
Additionally, customers are guaranteed that their vehicles will only receive genuine parts and accessories from service from skilled and dedicated service advisors and staff manning all the 37 Honda dealerships around the country.

Aside from that, HCPI extended its Drive to Win test drive campaign, which is up until July 24, gives customers a chance to win a 10th-generation Apple iPad or P2,000 e-gift certificate. Those who will proceed with an actual purchase are entitled to additional savings of P10,000.
