Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has officially launched the latest version of its subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV) offering, HR-V.
The all-new Honda HR-V replaces its predecessor that has sold more than 7,000 units since it was introduced locally in 2015. Globally, the model has sold around 3.5 million units to buyers as of December last year.
Developed with the grand concept “Amp Up Your Life”, the all-new Honda HR-V is said to offer sleek, premium and sporty design, fun-to-drive performance, as well as generous space based on three core values:
As mentioned in an earlier article, the all-new Honda HR-V will be offered in two variations: the S CVT and Turbo V CVT.
Up front, the all-new Honda HR-V sports aggressive features and athletic details, thanks to the mesh type grille fitted on the top-of-the-line variant or a black bar type grille for the base trim flanked by newly shaped headlights and fog lamps. Apart from that, the range-topping offering has a sport type bumper with the Amp Up Line design for additional flair.
The crossover’s side showcases a coupe-like-profile, with its sloping roofline and rear door handles that are well-integrated into the C-pillar. It also flaunts ample black cladding and sits on 17-inch alloys (either on gray for S CVT or black and silver color for V CVT Turbo) wrapped in 215/60 tires.
At the rear, the vehicle wears an LED taillight bar and the higher trim comes with dual tailpipes with finishers.
On the inside, the all-new HR-V is tailored with with either leather upholstery (for V Turbo CVT) or fabric seats (for S CVT).

Both mills are matched to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Further, the all-new Honda HR-V utilizes a camera with a wider field of view with improved software for its Honda Sensing system — the same system that can be found in the 11th-generation Civic.
Additional standard technologies found in the all-new Honda HR-V are the smart keyless entry, security alarm and immobilizer, all-passenger seatbelt reminder, front and side airbags, speed-sensing door locks, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear seat reminder, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, vehicle stability assist (VSA), hill start assist and hill descent control (HDC).
Available in four body color options namely, Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Premium Opal White Silver Pearl (new color; exclusive for V Turbo CVT), and Meteoroid Gray Metallic, the pricing for the all-new HR-V starts at P1.25 million for the S CVT while the V Turbo CVT is pegged at P1.598 million.
