Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) might be revealing the newest iteration of its iconic nameplate Civic this month.
“We are pleased to announce the unveiling of an iconic nameplate on November 23, 2021 (Tuesday). We hope that you can save the date for the virtual introduction of Honda’s newest offering,” the invite shared.
Based on the tip shared to Carmudi Philippines earlier this year, the local distributor of the Japanese automotive brand is set to bring the 11th-generation Civic sooner than expected.
Said to be the “most fun to drive and technologically advanced sedan in the model's nearly 50-year history,” the forthcoming Honda Civic (which was unveiled globally last April) has already earned Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) rating in September.
The much-anticipated arrival of the all-new Honda Civic sedan comes after neighboring country Thailand has started offering it in their showrooms in August.
In a statement, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Chief Executive Officer Noriyuki Takakura — who was the immediate predecessor of current HCPI president Masahiko Nakamura — expressed his confidence in the product, claiming that it is bound “to create a new legend as a premium sports sedan.”
In the Land of Smiles, the all-new Honda Civic is also offered with an RS trim and has four accessory packages including the Exhaust Pipe Finisher Package, Sport Package, Exclusive Sport Package, and Modulo Aero Package. We just hope that these sporty kits will be carried over once it is officially revealed locally.
