Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) has launched the greener, smarter CR-V.
Per the local arm of the Japanese automotive brand, the latest iteration of the sixth-generation Honda CR-V is heralded as a significant step forward in Honda’s global thrust on electrification.
Powering the range-topping variant of the iconic sport utility vehicle (SUV) is the brand’s e:HEV hybrid technology. The said setup combines a 2.0-liter gasoline powerplant with two electric motors.
Complementing the top-of-the-line hybrid model are two 1.5-liter gasoline-powered variants: 1.5 V Turbo CVT and 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD.
Further, the all-new Honda CR-V SUV is equipped with Honda Connect.
The first Honda vehicle in the Philippines to feature the smart car technology comes with amenities that will allow users to have a seamless connection with their cars via a smartphone application for an enhanced ownership experience.
Additionally, the all-new Honda CR-V gets the Honda Sensing suite of safety features and driver-assist technologies.
Honda Sensing uses a front camera and radar to help detect cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians, and other road users effectively.
“We are eager to launch the All-new Honda CR-V in the Philippines because this is a major step towards a carbon-neutral future for the next generation. With cumulative sales of over 70,000 units since it came to the Philippines in 1997, I know the Honda CR-V has a special place in the heart of Filipino customers. The all-new model, with the new e:HEV, Honda Connect, and Honda Sensing, is yet again how Honda demonstrates our commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment, and to safety for everyone” said HCPI President Rie Miyake.
The all-new Honda CR-V is now also longer and wider. Likewise, the SUV now packs an interior with premium and high-quality materials, upscale touches, as well as greater visibility.
Below are the variants and pricing of the all-new Honda CR-V:
“The sixth-generation Honda CR-V continues a strong legacy of models that began in 1995. Also known as the ‘Comfortable Runabout Vehicle,’ it has grown to become Honda’s leading global model with millions sold since its introduction,” HCPI wrote in a press release.
