According to HCPI, the said version of the Honda Connect will feature Emergency Calls, Location Search, and News.
Under Emergency Calls, the app user can contact the Honda Call Center, Honda Dealer, the police, ambulance services, or even a 24/7 roadside assistance with much ease.
In the Location Search, users can search places of interest such as gas stations, automated teller machines, convenience stores, and Honda Dealers – where the user can call the Dealer, navigate to the Dealer, and more conveniently book a service.
Lastly, the News feature shows periodic maintenance reminders and product advisories.
Relatedly, HCPI said that the app can be easily installed on one’s mobile device.
“With a few simple steps, you can connect your smartphone to your Honda, without the need for additional hardware or a hefty price tag. With Honda Connect, Honda is moving towards its global dream of zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda vehicles and Safety for Everyone,” HCPI noted.
Moreover, HCPI claimed that all personal data collected in the Honda Connect app are processed with top confidentiality in mind and in accordance with data privacy laws.
Customers are encouraged to download the Honda Connect app from the App Store, Play Store, or the Huawei App Gallery.
First offered in the country in time for the introduction of the all-new CR-V, the Honda Connect was initially launched as a telematics-based (TCU) technology that links the phone of the Honda owner with their car — offering Automatic Collision Detection, Security Alarm, Remote Diagnostic Support, Speed Alert, Geofencing, Vehicle Dashboard Information, Remote Vehicle Control, and Find My Car.
The feature is offered for free on the all-new CR-V under a three-year subscription.
