Honda gives JDM Fit mild updates, to be offered in 5 trims
Honda Japan announced mild updates for the Honda Fit, or Jazz, as it was known here in the Philippines. According to the Japanese automotive brand, the hot hatch will be offered with a more refined design, advanced driving functions, and better driving performance. It will also be offered in five trim levels: Basic, Luxe, Home, Crosstar, and the Sporty RS.

The Honda Fit will reportedly come in ICE and hybrid powertrain options.Design-wise, the Crossstar and the Sporty RS look quite more aggressive than their Basic, Luxe, and Home counterparts. The former has more rugged-looking exterior appointments which include a silver lower front grille, silver roof rails, silver side skirts, and a two-tone finish. The latter, on the other hand, dons familiar RS features such as a sporty grille and model-specific badging.
The Honda Fit RS is also equipped with a deceleration selector and drive mode switch which allows the driver to change between the available driving modes: Normal, Sport, and Econ.
Honda also said that the refreshed Fit lineup will be offered in various powertrain options which include ICEs and hybrids. The latter, said Honda, features “increased motor output and improved accelerator responsiveness which enhances the feeling of acceleration along with driving force, bringing exhilaration to daily driving.”
Driver assist features available across the updated roster include collision mitigation brake (CMBS), reverse erroneous start suppression function, pedestrian accident reduction steering, off-road departure control function, preceding vehicle start notification function, and sign recognition function, among others.
More details are expected to be revealed in the coming months. The facelifted Honda Fit is slated to be released in Japan later this year.
