Honda Jazz e:HEV Pricing Announced

Last February, Honda confirmed that they will release the Honda Jazz with an exclusively hybrid powertrain.

"The all new Jazz e:HEV plays a key role in Honda’s commitment that 100% of its mainstream European sales will feature electrified powertrains by 2022. The car will be available across Europe in summer 2020,” states Honda in their press release. Now, just a few short weeks later, Honda has announced the pricing for their newest EVs.

“We’re pleased to confirm the pricing for the all-new Honda Jazz and Jazz Crosstar models. Following on from the successful introduction of the all-electric Honda e, the electrified Jazz is designed to encourage those who might not be prepared to make the leap to a full electric drivetrain,” says Phil Webb, head of car at Honda UK.

The Jazz e:HEV starts at £18,980 (Php 1.23 million) for the base SE grade. This variant is capable of returning 62 mpg (3.79 l/100 km) while emitting just 102 g/km CO2. The price rises a bit with the mid-level SR variant, starting at £20,180 (Php 1.31 million), £21,380 (Php 1.38 million) for the top of the line Jazz EX, and £23,580 (Php 1.53 million) for the two-tone Crosstar EX grade.

Honda Jazz e:HEVAll variants of the e:HEV Jazz will come standard with an advanced two-motor hybrid powertrain. Honda boasts the exceptional “EV-like” driving dynamics, with advanced technology, increased efficiency, and reduced running costs.

The newest Honda Jazz features a more distinct, modern look than its predecessor. Sharper, more contoured lines frame the sides of the vehicle, while the redesigned front fascia gives the Jazz a soft but lively vibe. The car will be offered in a wide array of body color options, with Crystal Black being the standard, cost-free tone. Premium paint options, including Platinum White, Shining Grey, Midnight Blue Beam, and the all new Surf Blue will set you back £550 (about P35,000). Premium+ paint options include Premium Crystal Red and Premium Sunlight White, each costing about £650, or about P42,000.

The range-topping Crosstar variant will be exclusively available in two-tone color options, with a gloss black roof and pillars contrasting the body paint of the vehicle.

Orders for the all new Honda Jazz are open starting March 3rd, 2020, with deliveries expected starting at the second quarter of the year. It is unknown yet if the e:HEV Jazz will be coming to the Philippines, but as more and more car companies electrify their vehicle lineup, we can expect that more EV options will be locally available soon.
